From 2002 to 2005: Manager and Webmaster, Municipal Web Site of Vitry-sur-Seine , a suburb of Paris with 80,000 inhabitants ( http://www.mairie-vitry94.fr/). Responsible for the development and implementation of on-line communications strategy and its integration into overall municipal communications policy. Managed all aspects of the site, including content development and updates, design and technical development, outside developers and suppliers. Increased cooperation between the web site and municipal print publications. Improved interactivity and integration of the site into community life.

  • Traffic: From 2002-2005, site traffic increased from 2,800 to 29,000 visits/month.
  • Site redesign : Complete revision of the graphic design and navigation of the site. Implementation of dynamic database functions (PHP).
  • Content Development: Articles,interviews, slideshows, news reports. Development of on-line city guides with photos, slideshows and interactive maps.
  • On-line competitions : Developed and implemented on-line competitions designed to increase community participation and awareness.
  • Online video : Filming, editing, and reporting on local events for broadcast on the web site.
  • Video Simulcast : Video simulcast of public forums with the mayor and public officials. Interactive Q&A with on-line audience
  • On-line government services: Initiated and implemented access to on-line government services via the site.
  • Interactive public services: Developed on-line registration for public services, as well as on-line questionnaireson issues of public health, social issues, etc.
  • Handicap access : Initiated and implemented the launch of the Braille version of the weekly municipal magazine, as well as an on-line audio edition. Press coverage of this initiative appeared in le Parisien, Humanité Hebdo, Echo d’Ile-de-France
